Were heading north. First we need to get to bus terminal. You can get there by public transport (bus) but were too lazy to walk with our backpacks so we took a taxi for 15000 and it was a good choice as it turned out that its at the end of the world. From the station minibuses to Barranquilla and Santa Marta are leaving every half an hour. It cost 25000 (on the way back we paid a little bit less so its worth trying to bargain). They say it takes 3,5 hour but its usually around 5 as the bus is waiting or stopping all the time until its full. We didnt stop in any of the cities as we spend last few days in Cartagena and we had enough of big city life - we wanted to see some nature now. From what we heard the most interesting thing in Barranquilla is carneval but it was too early for that and Santa Marta is just a big city near Tayrona National Park and some nice villages by the seaside so people staying there are mostly coming there just to use atm as there are no in the area and do some shopping. In Santa Marta again we take taxi for 17000 to Taganga. Of course you can also get there in a cheaper way with colectivo but there are three of us so the difference would be like 1usd and were just getting older we dont have to save that much and were just tired from the heat and in a hurry to have a cold beer on the beach :) In Taganga almost straight away we find a nice hostel in good location and as it turned out probably one of the cheapest ones. Its called Graffiti and its by the main street near sports ground 5 min walk from the beach. We paid 50000 for 3people room (2 beds one of them bigger) with own bathroom and air condition! Theres wifi and family running it is very nice. And from what we heard people were paying at least 15000 per person in dorm somewhere at the end of the village. Taganga is not particularly pretty its a windy bay with beach and promenade along with all the bars. It used to be a fishing village that somehow attracted "alternative" people and became backpackers hangout. Walking or sitting by the beach in the evening you can meet a lot of people juggling or paying drums and doing all kinds of things. Its nice and its a good place to start exploration of Tayrona
