kuang si waterfall

some time ago slow boat pier was moved outside the town and there is fixed priced for tuk tuk to get to the center 20,000kip pp

there is a worse situation with accommodation in luang prabang. it took us hours to find a place for 3 people (the most popular hostels were full, other only had double rooms or were expensive) so if its possible book something in advance. in the end we stayed in chittana guesthouse in the center run by a great older guy for 80,000 for a room but we needed to sleep in 1 big bed

luang prabang is described as lao metropolia but in reality its a small town with one main street which has kind of european atmosphere with its cafes but everything is closing around 10pm

there is a great nighmarket where you can both do some shopping and get nice cheap food

getting to kuang si waterfalls:
30,000 kip pp for minibus but you can also bargain down to 25
entrance 20,000 kip
see bear rescue center, swim in the azure water, climb to stand at the egde of waterfall
