budda park

getting from vang vieng:
you can book transport in one of the hostels or agencies in the town, better to take vip bus then the minivan, price is 35000

accommodation in vientiane:
vientiane backpackers hostel is a cool place with free whiskey after 9pm but offering only dorms
if youre looking for a private room there should be no problem finding one as the main tourist center with all the guesthouses in located on neighbouring streets setthathilath/nokeokoumanne. we found clean nice double rooms for 80,000 each with bathroom (soukchaleun guesthoust on setthathilath st next to the crossroads with nokeokoumanne)

vientiane is also small but you can already feel like in a capital city. all the companies, shops, restaurants.. but there is not much to do and see in the city itself. guesthouse area is near nightmarket but this one is selling mostly chinese crap so if you wanna do some souvenir shopping better to do it in luang prabang

getting to budda park:
tuk tuks have fixed price 250,000 but we negotiated down to 150,000 for the three of us
entrance is 5,000 plus 3,000 for taking photos

nighttrain to bangkok:
we booked it via our guesthouse including minivan to the train station for 225,000 2cl sleeper upper beds aircon (there was no fen available anymore)

at the train station there is lao border control and you need to pay departure tax 10,000 which is not stated anywhere

then the nighttrain to bangkok leaves from the thai side of the brigde at 18.20 and is in bangkok around 6 in the morning

it would probably be cheaper to do it separately get to the train station on your own, train through the brigde costs 20thb and then on the thai side buy the ticket for the nighttrain but its a risk there will be no tickets in the wagons you want, we were booking a day before and already the 2nd cl fen was sold out
